The Art Institute of Chicago
More than 130 years after its founding, the Art Institute of Chicago ranks among the world’s great museums interpreting, conserving, and collecting works of art that inform and inspire visitors. With the opening of the Modern Wing in 2009, the Museum raised its public profile, leading Chicago’s museums in overall attendance. Today, the Art Institute welcomes a global audience to view and interact with its collection, attend programs and conduct original research.
Allerton Hall renovation signageWhen the visitor lobby and prints and drawings department were renovated, we developed a typographic voice that was used throughout the physical space. The visual language considers the scale of public areas and introduces icons to aid visitors.
