More than 130 years after its founding, the Art Institute of Chicago ranks among the world’s great museums interpreting, conserving, and collecting works of art that inform and inspire visitors. With the opening of the Modern Wing in 2009, the Museum raised its public profile, leading Chicago’s museums in overall attendance. Today, the Art Institute welcomes a global audience to view and interact with its collection, attend programs and conduct original research.
In 2005 we began work on the Art Institute website. The site needed to reflect the vitality and importance of this institution as well as effectively communicate the range of activities produced and provide access to the collection. It was a complicated project that required our skills in information architecture, message development, design and non-profit management.
